Learn DotNetNuke Module Development on Thursday, April 16th

On Thursday, April 16th, I will be presenting a session to the Orlando .Net User Group (ONETUG).  If you have never before built a module in DotNetNuke, need a refresher, or just want to learn a few quick tips, make sure you stop by.

Orlando .Net User Group The ONETUG folks do a great job at their events, including their monthly meetings.  You can be sure to have plenty of food and drinks, as long as everyone registers beforehand.  Being a typical user group, the meetings are free, and there will be door prizes.

Building modules would mean nothing if you didn’t already know about DotNetNuke and what it does.  So the session will begin with a walkthrough of DNN.  Then, I will be covering the background behind why you might want to build a module, and why you might want to just buy one.  The DNN ecosystem is loaded with modules that do pretty much everything that you want.  We will then dive into the code, where I will walk through the various components that a DotNetNuke module requires in order to function.  Hopefully, at the end of the session, you will have a general idea of module development and have the confidence to build your first one, or maybe build a more complicated module.

I hope to see you at the next ONETUG meeting.  I go to pretty much all of their meetings, and it really is a good time.  I only expect for you to also have a good time.
